Shaping the Future Together: AL-KO Airtech follows the 2030 Sustainability Commitments

AL-KO Airtech aligns its actions with the 2030 Sustainability Commitments of Trane Technologies. The focus is on three areas of action: the Gigaton Challenge, with the goal of avoiding 1 billion tons of CO₂e in customers’ footprints across the Group by 2030, Leading by Example, with a focus on carbon-neutral processes, net-positive water use, Zero Waste to Landfill, and Opportunity for All, to promote employees, diversity, and social responsibility. In this way, AL-KO Airtech takes responsibility and helps shape changes in the industry and society.

Sustainability begins with responsibility. At AL-KO Airtech, it is therefore an integral part of how we act – today and for the future. As part of Trane Technologies, we align ourselves with the Group’s 2030 Sustainability Commitments. These sustainability commitments provide a clear framework for our engagement and bring together activities in three central areas of action: Gigaton Challenge, Leading by Example, and Opportunity for All.

The Gigaton Challenge
With the Gigaton Challenge, Trane Technologies is pursuing the goal of avoiding 1 billion tons of CO₂e in customers’ footprints across the Group by 2030 compared to 2019. This makes the initiative a key lever for combining climate protection and technological progress. For AL-KO Airtech as well, it is clear: sustainable innovations make their greatest contribution when their impact extends beyond the company itself.

The Principle of Leading by Example
Making sustainability credible means setting a good example in our own operations. The focus includes, among further things, expanding carbon-neutral processes, achieving net-positive water use in water-stressed regions, and Zero Waste to Landfill – the goal of not sending waste to landfill, instead consistently recycling it or recovering it thermally. In addition, important areas of action across the Group are in focus: resource-conserving processes, consistent electrification, climate-friendly refrigerants, and reducing embodied emissions in our products. In this way, we combine operational responsibility with the ambition to actively help shape our industry.
